Its been a long time since I posted here…but if you are still signed up for updates I wanted to point you in the direction of the new and MUCH improved TLLWTL!
Lots of lovely big things are happening here at This Little Lady…including a complete site overhaul which will hopefully make visiting us even more pleasurable!
If there’s anything you’d like to see more of – or something you don’t like & would like me to remove – don’t be shy with the feedback. I’m a tough little cookie you know
However, this, and a horrible night of pain and sleeplessness last night (BOO) may mean that I go a little bit quiet over the next couple of days. Don’t worry though – I’ll be back with a vengeance!
In the meantime, don’t forget to enter our fab competition to win 2 tickets to see Way out West when they’re at Ministry of Sound next month, and check out London for Less for the latest and greatest London deals.
Not only do they have some bloody great clients, look after some pretty fabulous events, and have a funny & interesting blog; they’re now offering you, my gorgeous readers, 2 tickets to see/hear/dance to Way out West at the Ministry of Sound on 26th October. Woohooo! What do you have to do to get your mitts on these tickets? Simply DM me or comment below (please make sure your name and email are included) by 30th September, and you’ll go into the super prize draw. Easy!
Way Out West’s new single, Only Love, is out on September 7th. It’s ace. Go get it!
I thought Summers were supposed to be getting hotter? Evidence please!
Anyway, I’m not too sad about the Autumn creeping up on us. I like cosy time. OK, I like sunshine more, but I find comfort in cuddling up in fluffy jumpers and big socks, with a mug of steamy tea on the sofa.
So I’m not at all upset to have found this latest snuggly gem.
This huge, cosy blanket looks absolutely divine and I can’t wait to get my hands on one. It comes in a huge range of colours, is super soft, and has big sleeves so you feel like your wearing it like a giant fleece.
All I can say is…BRING IT ON WINTER…We’re ready for you!
(Currently available in the UK for around £35 from Prezzy Box and Fire Box)

Londoners Through a Lens @ Getty Images Gallery
Photographs from 1900-1990 from the Getty Images Hulton Archive. This isn’t a showcase of tourist hotspots or a roll-call of famous Londoners or even a chronological survey of photography in the capital. Some well-known names crop up, both in front of and behind the camera: the Beatles, the Kray brothers, Thurston Hopkins, Terry Fincher and Terry O’Neill. And some famous events: the Battle of Cable Street in 1936, the poll tax riots in 1990. Some iconic structures and places appear too: the Daily Express building, Trellick Tower, Eros, Petticoat Lane Market. The result is a portrait of London, but an idiosyncratic and inevitably incomplete one, where celebration and protest, the individual and the crowd, the momentous and the mundane all have their place. If you love London - you need to see this. Best of all, its FREE!

From 24th September Mutate Britain present One Foot in the Grove @ Notting Hill
The Mutate Britain collective follow up the success of last year’s Behind the Shutters exhibition with a new show in a striking 9,000 square ft location in West London next to Portobello Market; entitled ‘One Foot in the Grove’. The show, which opens on Sept 24th, will include many of their infamous pieces such as ‘Larry’ the robot dog, Giles Walker’s poledancing robots, Joe Rush’s vehicle sculptures and sawn off aircraft wings plus also some newer works such as a giant jukebox. Another key installation will be the huge human pinball machine which made an appearance at the Mutoid Waste’s ‘Trash City’ field at Glastonbury 2009. The pinball machine has a built-in dance floor big enough for 400 people and ‘Trash City’ boasted secret shows from Fatboy Slim, Freq Nasty and Ross Allen – amongst others. ‘One Foot in the Grove’ will also be home to London’s largest open-air smoking bar as well as DJs and live art installations. The space will be open from Thursday to Sundays and run for approximately six weeks from the launch date. Keep your eye on this for more details.

Yummy Places To Eat…
Some recommendations...
Yauatcha Eat here often & have not had a bad experience yet. The Dim Sum is amazing - can highly recommend the Venison Puff.
Goodman Gorgeous Steak House in Mayfair. Service and food both impeccable. Top quality produce cooked perfectly. I recommend the Goodman Ribeye - Medium Rare. Mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Ottolenghi Islington is the largest branch, and my favourite. Pop in for a delicious, award winning meal, or just stare in the window at the gorgeous display of cakes on show. Have spent far too much money and time here! Other locations; Notting Hill, Kensington & Belgravia
Sen Nin This Japanese restaurant on Upper Street, Islington, used to be my local & I still drop by when I'm in the area. Previously trading as Ah-So, they've changed names but the friendly, traditional chefs are still just as entertaining. Food & atmosphere both great. Good option for parties
Please take me to…
These are top of my wishlist...
